About Head Coach Rick Selvarajah

Head coach Rick has over a decade of experience in teaching Martial arts and fitness training, for him it is not simply a sport, it’s a way of life. His interest was sparked when he first began training as a hobby. He very quickly became inspired by discipline and fitness of mind and body that martial arts provides. Thanks to his natural ability and passion for the arts after just a few short years of training, he began competing on a national level.  

From the amateur competition regional ranks, he dedicated his life to training and becoming a professional athlete where he has fought at the highest level in the UK. His opponents include former British champions and UFC fighters. He quickly scaled up the professional ranks, gaining the titles of Fury MMA and TKMMA light weight champion, and was signed to top UK based MMA organisation BAMMA.

 Coach Rick established Revival to impart his technique, knowledge and passion onto his students. He believes the learning and understanding of martial arts equips the student in a multitude of ways, beyond the obvious physical benefit.  Correctly practised, martial arts allow you to develop interpersonal, leadership and disciplinary skills, which can be translated to any field and walk of life. Coach Rick has used his determination gained from martial arts to tackle all aspects of life and truly believes that the character building of training at Revival is second to none.

As a student of Revival under Coach Rick You will learn perseverance, hard work, and a strong determination to overcome all obstacles. You will undoubtedly gain a part of the “hard work over everything “attitude that has been forged within the heart of coach Rick. All that he asks for is your time and willingness to be a student of the game.

Senior Instructor Mr Naveed

Coach Naveed started martial arts at 8 years old. He started at Revival soon after with Head coach Rick and fell in love with training and bettering himself.

Mr Naveed is a first degree blackbelt in Revival Kickboxing and has a real passion in helping other students on their martial arts journey. . 

He is true representative of the benefits that martial arts and fitness brings. Starting as a young boy has now moulded his character and given him drive and direction as a young man. He hopes to share his journey and lessons with his you all.
